CIT Program

For Teens Entering Grade 10 (Sept. 2012)

The CIT program is an on-the-job training experience for a select group of mature teens who are interested in working with children.  Applicants must take part in the orientation and training sessions in the spring.  CIT's could be placed in a group in any of the Y's camp programs or in a specialty area.  There is ongoing training and trips throughout the summer.  The CIT program is only available for the entire 8 week camp season. Transportaion is included in the fee. Suffolk Y JCC Family or Single Parent Family Membership is required. Contact 631 462-9800 ext. 127 for an application; or apply on line on the "Work at Camp" page.  The Guidance Counselor Form must be filled out as well.
